About Traffic Fox
Traffic Fox started as a group of lower North Island drivers telling each other what the road ahead looked like. It has grown into a focused traffic update service for commuters, freight operators, tradies and families planning a drive across Wellington, Manawatū-Whanganui and Wairarapa.
How updates are sourced
Reports come in from drivers on the road, from our community group, and from public operator notices. Before anything is published, our team checks the location, the type of incident, and whether it is still current. Updates that turn out to be stale get closed rather than left to mislead people.
Why membership exists
Verifying reports takes people and time. Membership at $4 a month funds that work. Members get updates the moment they are filed and a feed with no sponsor cards; everyone else still gets the same information, fifteen minutes later.
